Undergraduate Career Opportunities:

Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst position is designed to help recent college undergraduate students develop the skills and experience necessary to become a Commercial Lender at Comerica Bank. Comerica’s Commercial Lending Training program is an eighteen to twenty four month rotational program, which includes a 3 week credit college located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Credit Analysts who successfully complete the formal credit training program have the opportunity to interview for a Commercial Banking Officer position. Credit Analyst positions are located in California, Michigan and Texas.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better*
  • Two accounting classes (3.0 average GPA)
  • One year word processing and spreadsheet software experience

Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst position is designed to help recent college undergraduate students develop the skills and experience necessary to pursue a career within Finance at Comerica Bank. Comerica’s Financial Analyst Rotational program consists of four six-month rotations among various groups in Finance and other related departments. The recruit’s responsibilities include immersing themselves in the work responsibilities of each area, in order to learn the importance of the area and how it supports the Bank. Each recruit is required to learn the technology and systems used by each area they rotate through. During the program, the recruit will be provided with the structured training, management support in career development, and a diverse experience across the Bank to help you succeed. Financial Analyst positions are located in Dallas, TX and Detroit, MI.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better*
  • Three Accounting classes or two Accounting classes and one Advanced Finance class that covers financial statement analysis and reporting (3.0 GPA or above in each)
  • One year word processing and spreadsheet software experience

Retail Banking Specialist

The Retail Banking Specialist position is designed to help recent college undergraduate students develop the skills and experience necessary to pursue a management position within Retail Bank at Comerica. As a Retail Banking Specialist you may be eligible to participate in the Retail Personal Banker Leadership Program. The development program is designed to provide motivated Retail Banking Specialist with opportunities for continued growth centered on pertinent career development topics; participant interaction; presentation skills and working in a team environment. As part of the Leadership Development program you will experience analysis training, cash flow and payment solution training and coaching skills training; participate in a team project; attend bimonthly meetings for learning opportunities hosted by various retail leaders. Retail Banking Specialist positions are located in Texas.

Position Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited university
    • Or 60 college credits* and 1 year of customer service experience
    • Or high school diploma OR general equivalency diploma (GED) and 3 years of customer service experience
  • One year Retail Sales experience or 1 year as a Personal or In-Store Banker
  • One year personal computer, system data entry or Internet search experience

Staff Auditor

The Staff Auditor position is an entry-level position in which recent college undergraduate students will apply basic analytical skills to form hypothesis and draw conclusions, identify and document audit issues, analyze and evaluate the adequacy of design and effectiveness of internal controls, all while enhancing and developing communications and problem solving skills. Staff Audit positions are located in Detroit, MI.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting from an accredited university
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better*
  • Three Accounting classes (3.0 average GPA)
  • One year customer service experience
  • One year team project/project management experience
  • One Year experience Microsoft Office products, Word and Excel

Technical Professional Analyst

The Technical Professional Analyst position is designed to help recent college undergraduate students develop the skills and experience necessary to become a Technologist at Comerica Bank. Comerica’s Service Company Development program is a highly structures rotational program within a functional area, which involves three separate rotations through specific departments. The training program consists of on-the-job, computer based and formal classroom training. Technical Professional Analysts who successfully complete the program will be placed in a position that fits their background, experience and performance during the program. Technical Professional Analyst positions are located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineer, Systems Engineer, Management Information Systems and/or Computer Science
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better*
  • One year of experience leading or participating in projects

Internship Opportunities:

Audit Internship (Summer Internship)

Comerica Audit Interns will gain real-world experience while enhancing and developing communication and problem solving skills. Intern positions are located in Detroit Michigan, are full time during the summer and pay on an hourly basis.

Intern Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior Undergraduate student completing a bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or other Business major
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or better*
  • Two Accounting courses completed
  • Six months word-processing, spreadsheet and database software experience
  • Six months project coordination/participation experience
